Why have we let this happen? Creating a holiday so gluttonous that we stuff one giant piece of poultry (i.e., turkey) with two mid-sized pieces of poultry (i.e., chicken and duck), and somehow our friends and family rejoice—only later to demand pie. It didn't start like this, right? Well, kind of. But instead of turducken, the Pilgrims and Native Americans stuffed themselves with seafood and more refined fowl (swan anyone?).
